Shabbat Shuva
Rabbi Michael Mayersohn · September 17, 2026
This Shabbat is unique in our calendar, the Shabbat between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Our tradition knows it as Shabbat Shuva, the Shabbat of return. These are the days, between the holy days during which our focus is to be on returning. Interesting concept—when we repent, we are returning, not going to a new place. We are returning to the place we all have been to, the place of virtue and goodness. Our tradition says it is our home, our starting point, and these are the days when we can journey back. It is my hope your journey is a good one.
Shabbat Shalom.
