It has been a hot week in Southern California. I hope you have found ways to stay cool. Perhaps we can use the heat of these days to think metaphorically about heat and warmth and how we can use these qualities to bring warmth to our personal relationships. The heat radiating from the ground can remind us how warm our lives can be, how much heat we can bring to our interpersonal relations. Then maybe the heat is not an inconvenience but something like a string around our finger, reminding us how warm we can be with each other.
