The ימים נוראים/Days of Awe services will be streamed on our YouTube channel. Check back for links.

These coming Yamim Noraim/Days of Awe will be the most unique ever! Unfortunately, we will not be able to gather as a community in our Temple. Instead, our worship services and High Holy Day activities will be streamed to our YouTube channel or on Zoom.
We hope to continue the best of Temple Beth Ohr for these High Holy Days: community, connection, and custom. To that end, there will be several meaningful ways for you to welcome 5781.

During the Hebrew month of Elul (which begins on the evening of Thursday 8/20), the month preceding Rosh Hashanah, there will be daily meditations emailed to the congregation. These readings and prayers invite you into a period of self-reflection in preparation for the Days of Awe.

In addition, there will be 4 different discussion sessions that will take place on Zoom as well as recorded on our YouTube channel, for those who are unable to attend live. These “prelude discussions” will examine some of the themes and prayers of the High Holy Days.

The Yamim Noraim/Days of Awe holy days have provided Jews, their spouses, partners, and families with time for reflection, prayer, meditation, and self-awareness. These Days of Awe are an opportunity for connection to family, friends, tradition, and the sacred. May we all find ways to connect safely during this pandemic and may we be blessed with a better year ahead.
